FIREBLOCK® 1001/EU
WHITE FIRE RETARDANT PAINT FOR PANELS FOR EXHIBITION STANDS, WOODEN ROOFS AND WOODEN OR MDF PANELS
One-component white water based fire retardant paint certified in Euroclass B-s1, d0.
APPLICATION CYCLE
The application cycle provides the following procedures:
1) PREPARATION OF THE SURFACES
Verify that the materials to protect are free of grease, fats, oil, waxy impregnating and preesisting varnishes. Existing paint coats must be removed by sandblasting or by sandpapering with coarse grain and then fine abrasive paper at naked wood. After this operation, in order to ensure maximum adherence of fire retardant paint on the support, carry out further cleaning using a dampened cloth with nitro thinner to remove completely from wood traces of wax. It should be checked carefully that the humidity of the wooden materials to coated is less than the value of 12% in weight. If the conditions of preparation above indicated are not respected, we don’t give any guarantee of durability of treatment.
2) WATER BASED IMPREGNATING AGENT FOR WOOD
Application of our product STARWOOD/W, water based primer, in amount of 80-100 g/m2 in order to confer resistance to mold and pests of wood (this treatment should be done on naked wood). The product is supplied in transparent or colored version.
3) FIRE RETARDANT PAINT
Application of two coats of paint FIREBLOCK® 1001/EU with a consumption of 200 g/m2 each, after drying the first coat, if the product is applied by roller or brush; apply one coat of paint FIREBLOCK® 1001/EU with a consumption of 400 g/m2, if the product is applied by spray (airless device without filter with nozzle 31). Drying time between the two coats: 10 hours at +20°C. The total quantity of paint applied, therefore, amounts to 400 g/m2.
