Intumescent
paints
Paints certified according to European standards to guarantee the fire resistance of painted artefacts.
The intumescent paints develop, as result of a chemical reaction that begins at about 200°C, a compact and thermo-insulating foam that protects the structures from the action of fire for the duration of the fire.
The intumescent paints allow to guarantee the mechanical resistance (R), the resistance to fumes (E) and the thermal insulation (I) of the painted elements for the time (in minutes) required.
They are used for the treatment of:
1) load-bearing structures in steel and galvanized steel, laminated wood and solid wood (fir/pine/larch), reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete such as beams, pillars and ceilings;
2) non-load-bearing structures such as walls in prefabricated panels, walls in blocks of brick and concrete.
